The Shawnee Fire Foundation and Local 206 is hosting a fundraiser Saturday for 1-year-old Marshal Moreno, son of firefighter Mykel Moreno. who was diagnosed with stage three liver cancer.

“Marshal is a part of our family and we want to do everything we can to help him out,” Shawnee Fire Department Captain Scott Killgore said.
A fundraising car wash at the former home of Joe Cooper Ford, near the MacArthur and Harrison intersection, will take place this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., depending on the turnout.
Marshal is currently at OU Children's Hospital and there is a possibility of being transferred out of state to receive more treatment.
Moreno has been with the Shawnee Fire Department for six months.
Along with the car wash, there will be a dunk tank, fire trucks on display and the Shawnee Fire Clowns in attendance. Shawnee High School students will be assisting with the car wash.
