Micheal Weaver, age 63 of Joplin, Mo., went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 8, 2018 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.

Micheal was born on March 15, 1954 to the union of Homer Orville Weaver and Dorothy Nadine (Brown) Weaver. He graduated from Baxter Springs High School with the class of 1972. He had lived in Baxter Springs, Columbus, Kan., and Joplin.

Micheal was a gifted auto body shop repairman, a skill that he perfected over his career of 45 years. He had owned his own auto body shops in Joplin and Reddings Mill, and had worked for other local establishments as well. In his free time, his career poured out into his hobbies by rebuilding and painting classic cars. He was a member of the Joplin Corvette Club for many years, and had owned six different Corvettes throughout his life. He was a member off Abundant Life Christian Center in Joplin.

Survivors include his significant other, Amber Luellen of the home; two sons, Dylan Weaver of Joplin, and Bentley Weaver of the home; two daughters, Tiffany (Weaver) Coleman of Columbus; and Aaliyah Weaver of the home; three brothers, Ronnie Weaver (wife, Bonnie) of Tucumcari, N.M., Randy Weaver of Baxter Springs, and Tony Weaver of Baxter Springs; one sister, Sandra Hopkins (husband, Danny) of Baxter Springs; and two grandchildren, Abbigayle Coleman and Michael Coleman, both of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Dorothy; one brother, Wayne Weaver; and one sister, Hazel Weaver.

Mr. Weaver was entrusted to Derfelts Baxter Chapel for cremation. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Derfelts Baxter Chapel.
