Thelma Geraldine (Fountain) Enyart

Thelma Geraldine Fountain was born on January 31, 1931, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to Roy and Irene (Payne) Fountain. She was a life-long resident of Pawhuska and married Sie Edward Enyart on December 24, 1947. Geraldine worked for Wright’s, a local apparel store, Edward’s, another apparel store, and finished her career at Lowry’s. She demonstrated her enjoyment in clothing sales by being a buyer, merchandizer, and window display designer. No challenge was too difficult for Geraldine. She also had a deep love and dabbled in antiques and flea markets and collected decorator glass and teddy bears her entire life. Geraldine was a member of Eastern Star, Business and Professional Women’s Club, Heeko, Red Hat Society, and was a life-long member of First Baptist Church where she taught nursery for many years. Geraldine died of a sudden illness at 1:44 am on Saturday, November 11, 2017, in Tulsa’s Saint John’s Hospital.

She is survived by and was attended at her death by her children: Sie Enyart of Luther, Oklahoma, Susan Ray of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, and Shelley Farquharson of Ponca City, Oklahoma. She was also survived by four grandchildren: Kelly Stacy of Edmond, Oklahoma, Deborah Miller of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Amanda Ryder of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Dr. Morgan Dyer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Sie Edward Enyart and one infant son Steven Alexander Enyart.

A memorial service is planned for January 13, 2018, at The First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall located at 302 East 6th Street in Pawhuska. The service is planned for 12 Noon to 2:00 pm.
