Washington County OSU Extension Service will once again be hosting the annual KOMA Beef Cattle Conference in partnership with K-State Research and Extension and University of Missouri Extension.

This event will take place on Jan. 17 at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Dewey, starting at 11:30 a.m. with registration and trade show. Pre-registration is due Jan. 10 and can be mailed to Washington County OSU Extension Service, PO Box 10, Dewey, OK 74029. The registration fee is $15 if paid by the deadline and $20 at the door. Topics and speakers includes: Genetics of Cow Herd Efficiency, Dr. Jared Decker, Beef Genetics Extension Specialist, MU Extension; Identifying and Treating Hoof Problems, Dr. Barry Whitworth, DVM Food-Animal Quality & Health Specialist, OSU Extension; Beef Market Outlook, Dr. Glynn Tonsor, Professor & Extension Specialist, K-State Extension; and Current Agronomy Issues in Pastures, Brian C. Pugh, NE Area Agronomy Specialist, OSU Extension. The program will conclude with an evening meal.
