The holiday season will officially light up on Saturday night with the 2017 Christmas Parade of Lights through historic downtown Pawhuska.
The Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring The Nutcracker-themed parade, and Joni Nash, executive director, provides details on the family-fun tradition.
1 How many participants do you expect in this year’s parade? More than 25.
2 Tell readers who this year’s parade marshal is and where he/she works and lives. This year’s parade marshal is Mr. John Reber. He lives here in Pawhuska. He is retired and locally getting involved in Pawhuska. He can be found downtown greeting visitors to helping out at the Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce.
3 Describe the parade route and what time it starts. It starts at 5:30pm and will begin at 9th and Kihekah. Come down Kihekah and then turn east on Main.
4 How many years has Pawhuska been hosting the parade? For over 20 years.
5 What are you most excited about seeing in the parade? It’s always a fun time to see families and businesses come together to celebrate what the season is all about. It also gives opportunity for visitors to go into our downtown shops.
