A vehicle in tow rolled over a 17-year-old girl when her family pulled off of Highway 70 to ensure it was properly fastened, according to Ardmore Police Department.
At about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Ardmore Police Capt. Keith Ingle said the family pulled off the road to check the vehicle, which was sitting on a car dolly.
The 17-year-old girl crawled underneath the vehicle to untangle a strap attaching the car to the dolly, a police report said, but it started rolling and ran over the girl’s midsection.
“The strap came loose when they pulled off the road,” Ingle said. “It was an accidental thing.”
Emergency Medical Services arrived shortly after she was injured and transported her to Mercy Hospital. Ingle said the girl was released the same day.
