The Pawhuska Pound Pals poker run is set to start Saturday, helping to raise money for homeless animals in Osage County.


According to Charity Sanders, Pawhuska Pound Pals saves animals in the rural pounds of Osage County from being euthanized. The group finds the animals rescue facilities and assists with finding new homes.


The money raised from the poker run will help with financial assistance for veterinary costs, health certificates and transportation.


Sign-in will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Hitchin’ Post, 815 N. Delaware in Dewey. The run will go through Whiskey Bent in Bartlesville, Crossroads in Skiatook, The J Bar Saloon in Barnsdall, The Office in Wynona, with the 4 p.m. last bike in back at the Hitchin’ Post.


The poker run concludes at 6 p.m. with a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. Highest hand is $400, lowest hand is $100.
