The PHS class of ’67 will be hosting its 50 year reunion this year and chairing the All-School Reunion slated Oct. 6-7 .
According to spokeswoman Sharon Robinson, this event is open to all Pawhuska High School alumni.
“We are so excited about this year’s event and encourage everyone to come. We have lots of fun activities and surprises planned,” said Robinson.
The reunion will kick off with the PHS Pep Assembly on Oct. 6, followed by the annual homecoming parade. Robinson noted respective classes are also invited to enter the much-anticipated parade. After the parade, alumni are invited to meet at Grill 125 (just east of the “Merc”) for the first of three all-class mixers.
“This will be a wonderful opportunity for PHS alumni to visit with classmates and have a delicious supper,” Robinson said. “Then, we’ll head to the Ormand Beach Stadium for homecoming and watch out Huskie football players and the queen coronation. After the game, all alumni are invited to El Vallarta’s for an after-game mixer and more visiting.
“There will more excitement in downtown Pawhuska on Oct. 7 with the annual Indian Taco Festival. This award-winning event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature lots of delicious food, Indian dancing, singing and vendors.”
After the Taco Festival, a third alumni-mixer will be held the Pawhuska Elks Lodge. In addition to heavy hors d’oeuvres and music, the alumni committee has lined up a nationally-known entertainer (details to be announced later) along with special PHS memorabilia, gifts and prizes.
“Please spread the word about this exciting, action-packed weekend,” said Robinson. “We promise you a worry-free, memorable time with great people plus we are making it super easy with no advance reservations needed. That’s right; all you have to do is show up and pay at the door.”
