would like to take this opportunity to ask everyone to think about all the great things our teachers do in the Pawhuska Public Schools. As superintendent of schools, my job is secondary to the great work of teachers, on the front lines, and in your child’s classroom every day.

It is my hope that this week is spent thinking about the numerous ways in which our teachers are valued as they work with our most precious resources, our children. Whether it is working on new subject matter, learning new standards, welcoming new students, coaching kids to learn new academic skills, we can’t carry on one day without our star performers.

If you have a chance, will you please make sure to let your child’s teacher know how much you appreciate what they do. Our teachers work countless hours, stay late, provide their own resources, in order for our children to have a successful year in school. Without their spirit of compassion, caring, and sharing, we would be pressed to make it through the year.

To the Pawhuska teachers, and their classroom aides, thank you for all you do. You are vitally important to our school district.

Sincerely,

Dr. Janet Neufeld

Superintendent of Pawhuska Schools
