SCHOOL NOTES

(Submitted by Superintendent Shelley Shulanberger)

Students have started selling Little Lamb Cookie Dough. Order forms and money are due in the office on Friday. Checks should be made out to Wynona Schools. We are earning money to purchase fuel and admission fees to field trips, student incentives, and supplies. Thank you in advance for supporting our students and teachers! The highest seller will receive $100.

State testing started Tuesday. The third-eighth grade students will complete Section A of the reading test on Tuesday, and Section B on Wednesday. The math test for elementary students will be the following week. The high school testing schedule will be announced next week. Please visit with your child about trying their best, taking their time and not getting stressed if they don’t know something on the test. Remember it is important for your child to get a good night of sleep, eat a nutritious breakfast and arrive AT school on time.

The next home softball game is Thursday. Make plans to attend and support our players and coaches.

The prom is April 28 in Broken Arrow at the Rose Event Center. We will travel in the new school bus to and from Wynona School. There will be a walk-through at 5:30 and we will leave Wynona at 6. We will return to Wynona around 11:30. If a student is bringing a date from another school, a form must be completed from their school principal. All Wynona ninth-12th grade students will be admitted free. Dates who are not from Wynona School will be charged $10. Pictures will be $5, with the first picture to be free.

We have a lot of clothes in the lost and found in the cafeteria and old gym. If your child is missing any clothing, please have them look and see if any of the items belong to them.

FOUNDERS DAY

Crala Marlin and Amanda Stansberry have agreed to take over the Founders Day Activities. Wynona Founders Day 2017 will be held on Saturday, June 10. They are planning lots of fun activities. Anyone who can volunteer is asked to contact Marlin or Stansberry. Yippee, we are back in business. Thanks, Crala and Amanda.

NEW CAR ON ROAD

In January, Enbridge Energy donated a very nice 2010 Chevrolet Traverse to the Wynona Police Department. Since that time, it has been in Bartlesville being turned into a police car. They brought it back to us this week and it is on the road. It is bluish gray, has a big light on the top and it is outfitted with all the equipment needed to be a police car.

Thanks again to Enbridge! What a great company for us to have in our area.
