TULSA — Guest speakers and topics have been announced for the Osage County Tourism Forum that is to be held at Gilcrease Museum on Jan. 27.

“Dimensions of Osage Tourism” will be the second free forum sponsored by the Osage County Industrial Authority. It is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and last until 2:30 p.m. at Gilcrease’s Helmerich Research Center, organizers said.

The forum will kick off with inspiration from Susan McCalmont, the president of Creative Oklahoma. Then, information about various resources that are available to organizations is to be shared by representatives of Green Country Marketing, Osage County Tourism, the Pawhuska Industrial Authority and Kimberly Noe-Lehenbauer from the Oklahoma Travel & Recreation Department.

Next: Updates and highlights about Osage County’s “three world-class attractions” are to be provided by Gilcrease Museum’s James Pepper Henry, Harvey Payne of the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve and Kaci Fouts from Woolaroc Museum & Wildlife Preserve.

Bruce Carter, the owner of Pawhuska’s Tallgrass Gallery, will then reveal the “Top 10 things you can do now to market your business and build a service culture.”

Osage Nation Assistant Principal Chief Raymond Red Corn and Bruce Cass, the ON Properties Manager, will round out the Forum by sharing “the Osage Story.”

Representatives from Osage County attractions, lodgings, retail establishments and any other interested parties are encouraged to attend the forum. Lunch is being sponsored by Osage Casinos.

The forum is free to attend, but pre-registration (RSVP) is required. To reserve a spot at the Forum, contact the Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce at pawhuskachamber2sbcglobal.net or (918) 287-1208.
