The first home basketball game for the junior high was set for Monday evening in the new gym. Junior high and high school teams also played Tuesday in Shidler. The next home games will be Thursday (Nov. 17), with the elementary teams starting at 4:30 p.m. and the junior high game following.

Admission price to this year’s home games is $5 for adults and $3 for students. As always, senior citizens are free. We will have lots of yummy snacks in the concession stand.

The November school board meeting was to be held Monday, Nov. 14, in the administration office.

Prekindergarten through sixth-grade students were to attend a morning performance of “Stone Soup” at the Constantine Theater on Tuesday. They were going to leave the school at approximately 8:45 and return in time for lunch.

On Wednesday, Nov. 16, the eighth-grade students were to attend a “Scavenger Hunt” of classes offered at Tri-County Technology Center in Bartlesville. We were to leave school before noon and stop in Bartlesville for lunch before our 1:10 appointment. Each child needed to bring lunch money. We were to return to the school by 3:35.

Retakes, class pictures and sports pictures are to be on Friday, Nov. 18. Flyers should have come home. If you have not received one, please contact the office.

There will be no school Monday-Friday, Nov. 21-25. Enjoy the week off for Thanksgiving.

On Monday, Nov. 28, we will have a JOM meeting at 5 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Following the JOM meeting, we will have a Community Meeting to discuss our Title 1 program. This is an important meeting that we need everyone to attend, including (but not limited to) parents, school board members, business owners, pastors, Osage Nation services, counseling services, etc.

Title 1 is a federally-funded program that helps schools improve low socio-economic and/or struggling students. We are redeveloping our school’s Title 1 plan and need everyone’s input and assistance, so please make plans to attend.
