The Pilot Club of Dewey’s annual Christmas Art and Crafts Show and Sale will be Nov. 5-6 at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Dewey in partnership with the Ramona Masonic Lodge #326. The fairgrounds are two blocks west of the Dewey High School at the light on U.S. 75 and Bulldogger Road. The show will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday

This is the 33rd year for the show and it is always well attended with more than 60 exhibitors featuring wearing apparel, gift items, jewelry, food, holiday and home decorating merchandise, woodwork and/or metal items and original art work. Several local clubs and organizations will be returning with their ever popular assorted packaged nuts, peanut brittle and cookbooks. Admission is free and door prizes, donated by the vendors, are given every hour. A cash prize of $100 will be given at the close of the show on Sunday. Winner of the $100 need not be present to win.

Members of the Pilot Club of Dewey prepare and serve a variety of food from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. both days. The favorite dish, chicken and noodles, as well as hot dogs, chili dogs, Frito pie, baked potato bar, desserts and drinks are some of the items. There will be a fashion show sponsored by Christopher & Banks/CJ Banks Fashions in the north room from 1-1:30 p.m. Saturday.

This Craft Show started in 1983 by the Pilot Club of Dewey, a member of Pilot International, a service organization, to support its many area civic projects and programs. The signature project is BrainMinders, a campaign to increase the awareness of brain related disorders and injuries and their prevention. Last year Pilot International has added another project, the support of caregivers. For more information or a vendor registration form contact Carol at 918-397-0756 or castewa@cableone.net.
