Line dance workshop

LoCo-Motion Dance Team of the 55+ Activity Center will be hosting its third annual line dance workshop at 2 p.m. Oct. 20 at the 1400 Washington Blvd., Bartlesville.


Starting at 2 p.m. beginner to advance dances will be taught to music of all types, country, modern and social. Following lessons, there will be a dinner and dance which all line dancers and two steppers are welcome to attend.


The cost will be $25, which includes the workshop, dinner and dance. Add a T-shirt for just $10 more — $35 total.

The 55+ Activity Center offers a safe, fun, clean environment for senior to socialize while learning and having fun. All proceeds of this event go directly to the 55+ Activity Center.

Ladies Connection


sets holiday lunch


The Bartlesville Ladies Connection invites all area women to their annual Holiday Extravaganza Lunch and Silent Auction at Hillcrest Country Club on Thursday.


Shop the Christmas decorations, gift baskets, homemade crafts, baked goods and more. Bring items and/or purchase gifts. Silent auction proceeds benefit Stonecroft and Bartlesville Ladies Connection projects including the local jail ministry.


Shopping begins at 11:15 a.m. with lunch followed by at 11:45 a.m. Hear Bartlesville’s own author Victoria Burks, share about how a life of ashes can be one of beauty. Cost is $16 for lunch and program, but only $8 for moms with children in our free childcare. Open to the public. There will be a holiday cake centerpiece competition. Guests may vote for their favorite. The top three cakes will be sold in the live auction — all other cake centerpieces sold in the silent auction.

PARKINSON’S


Support group


will meet Thursday


The Oklahoma Chapter of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association will host a support group meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday in the lower level classroom of the Jane Phillips Medical Center, 3500 Frank Phillips Blvd., Bartlesville.


Candace Henson, PT, DPT, will be presenting a Parkinson’s specific exercise program called “PWR! Moves.” The program consists of four basic movements that specifically target different symptoms in Parkinson’ Disease such as stiffness, slow movements and coordination.
